エンジョイ勢
Enjoizei
えんじょいぜい
A combo of 'enjoy' and 勢 (zei, 'crowd/faction'), referring to people who pick fun over competition. Born in gaming culture as the natural counterpart to ガチ勢 (gachi-zei, the hardcore/try-hard crowd). 'I'm enjoy-zei, so I don't need to get good' is a classic line for justifying a relaxed playstyle. It has spread well beyond games to any hobby — golf, photography, anime — where the speaker wants to make clear they're in it for fun rather than serious competition. Identifying as enjoy-zei is basically saying 'leave me alone, I'm just here to have a good time.'
