むり
Literally means 'impossible' or 'no way,' but among young people it has evolved into a catch-all for emotional overload. 'Mou muri' (I'm done), 'maji muri' (I seriously can't) — it covers everything from Monday-morning despair to being so moved by your oshi that your brain short-circuits. In fan culture, 'toutosugite muri' (too precious, I can't) is a compliment. One word, and the conversation is complete — that's how versatile it is.
