Ngo

Internet slang from なんでも実況J板 (nan-demo jikkyou J-ban), a popular board on 2ch (now 5ch). Originally derived from a pro baseball player named Domingo, whose name was attached to failure stories. It evolved into a comedic sentence-ending suffix: 寝坊したンゴ (nebou shita ngo = "overslept-ngo"), やらかしたンゴ (yarakashita ngo = "messed up-ngo"). Used for self-deprecating or lighthearted complaints. Spread from message boards to Twitter to some casual conversation, though it is almost never used in actual spoken Japanese — it is primarily a text thing.
