○○ shika katan' means 'nothing beats ○○' or '○○ is the only thing that matters.' The ultimate declaration of love for your favorite thing — food, season, manga, your oshi. 'Katan' is an archaic negative form of 'katsu' (to win), so literally 'nothing can win except ○○,' which became '○○ is the best.' Blew up as a buzzword in 2020 and is still going strong in 2026, similar to English expressions like 'you can't beat ___.'
